although maryland governor larry hogan announced additional stage two reopening guidelines for the state of maryland (which includes the reopening of indoor fitness centers), the knott athletic recreation convocation complex will be open for mount students and employees only. when the pool opens, it will be used exclusively by athletics until further notice. we will continue to communicate updates regarding the timeline for reopening, modifications to services, and safety measures via the mount st. mary's university website and other social media platforms.

the knott arcc is home to the mount's 25-meter, six-lane multi-purpose pool. the office of campus recreation offers a variety of aquatic programs such as lap and recreational swim, aquatic fitness classes, and summer swimming lessons for youth.

this class is great for anyone suffering from arthritis, recovering from surgery or an injury, or starting a new workout regiment. this program allows you to exercise with minimal strain on your joints and muscles, and the gentle activities help you gain strength and flexibility, resulting in decreased pain and stiffness.

this minimal stress workout gives you a great workout with exercises performed in the deep water with the use of floatation and resistance equipment. participants must be comfortable in deep water.
