robell tsegaye, c'22

president

major – political science

why did you chose to serve in this sga role, and what are some of your accomplishments?

i chose to serve as the student body president to sharpen my leadership skills and work with a group of highly motivated people to change the landscape of the mount to correlate with our rapidly changing environment. we have just recently created a new constitution that will involve more people within the sga on a number of spectrums.

describe your values and how they inform your leadership

i value the trait of respect. i believe it is vital to treat others, no matter their differences, as well as yourself with the utmost respect. i also value humility. as a leader, it is important to understand your limitations and make it a top priority to listen to the opinions of others. lastly, i value courage. if you want to make change it is vital that you have the courage to express your ideas and be open to criticism.
